Community Partnership
Nike RBI.
Bay Area Baseball is proud to serve as the local Nike RBI program partner — Reviving Baseball & Softball in Inner Cities, in partnership with Major League Baseball.
About Nike RBI
Founded in 1989 by former MLB player and scout John Young, RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) was created to give young people in underserved communities the chance to play baseball and softball, build character, and stay engaged in a positive, team-oriented environment. Major League Baseball took over operation of the program in 1991, and in 2023, Nike became RBI's presenting sponsor. Today, Nike RBI reaches more than 200 communities and 100,000 participants nationwide every year.
Here in the Bay Area
Locally, Logan Wells serves as Director of the Nike RBI Program in partnership with Major League Baseball — bringing that same mission of access, mentorship, and development to players right here in the Bay Area.
